Eve of Holocaust Memorial Day: "In the Spirit of Etty Hillesum"

Sunday 27 April 2014

Some 100 persons attended the event themed "In the Spirit of Etty Hillesum" held on the eve of Israel’s Holocaust Day. In the audience were Jewish Israelis, Palestinians, Germans, 2nd generation Holocaust survivors and others - including a refugee from western Sudan. The event reached beyond the Holocaust of the Jewish people to victims of genocide and persecution everywhere. It encouraged the participants to think about what needs to be changed in order to create a better world that is free of persecution and genocide: locally and internationally.
