Summer Full moon gathering at the PSCC

Sunday 20 August 2017

All the versions of this article: [عربي] [English] [עברית]

On Thursday, August 10 at the Pluralistic Spiritual Center we held a public gathering on the occasion of the full moon. The children heard stories about the moon told by popular storyteller Nili Gafran and the adults heard a lecture about the moon in Islamic culture and Sufi philosophy by the sufi Sheikh Mahmoud al-Rifai, a resident of Beit Hanina in East Jerusalem. We heard music from the young musicians of the Maqamat Music Academy of Nazareth.

Finally, we went out into the woods for a drumming workshop with Yoel Braidman, which ended with the rise of the moon at 11:30.
