Noa and Mira Awad come for "There Must be Another Way"

Monday 19 August 2013, by Glenn Chon

The Pluralistic Spiritual Community Center hosted the “There Must be Another Way” event for Kids Creating Peace, an organization dedicated to meet ups for Palestinian and Israeli children ages fifteen to sixteen. At the event, famous singers Noa (Achinoam Nini) & Mira Awad attended, sang, and told their stories of peace.

The program lasts one year with approximately sixty kids from all over Israel and Palestine. Throughout the year, the kids meet every two weeks, developing life long friendships through facilitated activities.

The Pluralist Spiritual Community Center was proud to host the final gathering where the kids sat in circles describing their personal experiences and processes they went through, all while saying their good byes and giving gifts. The meeting concluded with the lighting of candles by every member in attendance and placing them on a map to symbolize lighting up the world with peace.

“We hope to develop a partnership with them in the future for continuous meet ups at the PSCC. The event was a new beginning for cooperation,” explains Dafna.
