Wahat al-Salam - Neve Shalom
Italian Friends of WASNS have published a new book on Bruno Hussar’s history and on the Village: ’The crazy dream of Neve Shalom Wahat al-Salam. Israelis and Palestinians together on the same land’ (Edizioni Terra Santa).
The book has the ambition of filling a two-sided vacuum in the Italian publishing industry. On the one side Hussar’s extraordinary history, really a “lord of dreams”, amongst other things a central figure in the rebirth of the Catholic Church in Hebrew language, on the other side the Village of peace, on which a lot has been written but not a full text in Italian on which refer to.
It has been chosen to ask for contributions to some specialists of various disciplines – Hebrew, interreligious dialogue, spirituality, politic sciences, education and so on – both Italians and foreigners. The essays are original, passionate and up to date.
A view came out rich and full of cues useful to reflect on the present and future situation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and of the – complicated but necessary - “trilogue” between Jews Christians and Muslims.
