Earlier this month, a group of 13 Jewish and Palestinian teenagers from Neve Shalom – Wahat al-Salam’s Nadi Youth Club travelled to Cava de’ Tirreni, near Salerno, as part of the club’s second consecutive summer exchange visit to Italy, taking part in a week of learning, friendship, and cultural exchange.
Accompanied by youth leaders Itay and Hiba, the group was warmly welcomed by the Eugenio Rossetto Association, whose generosity and hospitality made the visit possible. Throughout the week, the young participants took part in excursions, guided tours, community events, and discussions, while sharing their own experiences of growing up together in the unique Jewish-Palestinian community of Neve Shalom – Wahat al-Salam.
The visit also provided an opportunity to introduce local communities in Italy to the village’s model of shared society and dialogue. Through conversations and public meetings, the participants reflected on the realities of life in Israel and Palestine and demonstrated how young people can build relationships across divides through mutual respect, understanding, and everyday cooperation.

For everyone involved, the camp was another memorable and meaningful experience, strengthening the bonds between the two communities and creating lasting friendships. Neve Shalom Wahat al-Salam extends its heartfelt thanks to the Eugenio Rossetto Association for its continued partnership and for making this special exchange possible for a second consecutive year.
