Wahat al-Salam – Neve Shalom condemns the killing, intentional starvation and displacement. The village calls for an end to the unbridled attacks on Gaza.<\/p>\n
For nearly two years, we have witnessed the continued massacre of humans, and have watched the lethal attacks carried out by Israel, which have taken the lives of over 100,000 Palestinians, as well as leaving around two million refugees hungry and under constant threat. Throughout this period, Israel has systematically, nearly completely, destroyed educational and health institutions as well as all the basic components of life in the Gaza strip.<\/p>\n
In parallel with the destruction of life in Gaza, the destructive military machinery has razed central refugee camps in the West Bank from the north to the south. Bands of settlers, with the support of soldiers, bring daily terror and destruction to the lives of citizens of the small, weakened villages and communities, with the aim of exiling them from their homes and land.<\/p>\n
We in the village call for an immediate end to the war, for an immediate return of the hostages, for a complete withdrawal of all troops from Gaza and for negotiations leading to a comprehensive peace treaty that will grant the right to life, peace, security, and justice to both peoples.<\/p>\n
