Back to School

September 3, 2025

Right before the beginning of the new school year, the Parents Community organized a “back to school” event for the families of the school community. The stations included the ever-popular face painting and coloring in sections of a long sign, along with food and drink and games.

The highlight of the event involved the plastic stools and giant balloons spread around the school yard. The children engaged in a loud, fun, collective drumming session to music.

Twenty-four first graders – half Arab, half Jewish – strode through the balloon arch and onto the stage on the first day of school, September first.

They were greeted by the new principal, Hanaa Khariki, as well as by their new teachers and a representative of the Parents Community, the Association board, and the traditional songs and welcomes from the older classes.

We wish all of the students, new and old, a successful, fruitful year full of learning, new friends and peace.
