The village of Wahat al-Salam – Neve Shalom and its educational institutions released a statement on the war and the ongoing cruelty:
Wahat al-Salam – Neve Shalom condemns the killing, intentional starvation and displacement. The village calls for an end to the unbridled attacks on Gaza.
For nearly two years, we have witnessed the continued massacre of humans, and have watched the lethal attacks carried out by Israel, which have taken the lives of over 100,000 Palestinians, as well as leaving around two million refugees hungry and under constant threat. Throughout this period, Israel has systematically, nearly completely, destroyed educational and health institutions as well as all the basic components of life in the Gaza strip.
In parallel with the destruction of life in Gaza, the destructive military machinery has razed central refugee camps in the West Bank from the north to the south. Bands of settlers, with the support of soldiers, bring daily terror and destruction to the lives of citizens of the small, weakened villages and communities, with the aim of exiling them from their homes and land.
We in the village call for an immediate end to the war, for an immediate return of the hostages, for a complete withdrawal of all troops from Gaza and for negotiations leading to a comprehensive peace treaty that will grant the right to life, peace, security, and justice to both peoples.

מזה כשנתיים אנחנו עדים לטבח מתמשך של בני אדם, וצופים במתקפות רצחניות ואכזריות של ישראל שגדעו את חייהם של יותר ממאה אלף פלסטינים והותירו כשני מיליון פליטים מורעבים, מותקפים וחסרי בית. לכל אורך התקופה ישראל הרסה באופן שיטתי וכמעט מוחלט את כל מוסדות החינוך, הבריאות, ומחקה כל מרכיב חיים בסיסי ברצועה
במקביל להשמדת החיים בעזה, מכונת ההרס הצבאית החריבה מחנות פליטים מרכזיים ברחבי הגדה המערבית. כאשר גדודי מתנחלים, בגיבוי חיילים, מטילים אימה יומיומית על חיי אזרחים בכפרים וקהילות קטנות מוחלשות, במטרה לגרשם מבתיהם ואדמותיהם
אנחנו בכפר קוראים לעצור את המלחמה מייד, להחזיר את החטופים, לצאת מעזה ולחתור להסכם מדיני כולל שיבטיח חיים, שלום, ביטחון וצדק לשני העמים

.تدين واحة السلام – نيفيه شالوم القتل، والتجويع المتعمّد، والتهجير القسري، وتدعو إلى وقف الهجمات الوحشية على غزة
على مدار ما يقارب السنتين، نشهد مجازر متواصلة بحق البشر، ونراقب الهجمات الفتاكة التي تنفذها إسرائيل، والتي أودت بحياة أكثر من مئة الف فلسطيني، وخلّفت نحو مليوني لاجئ يعانون من الجوع ويعيشون تحت تهديد دائم. وخلال هذه الفترة، قامت إسرائيل بشكل ممنهج بتدمير المؤسسات التعليمية والصحية بشكل شبه كامل وقضت على مقوّمات الحياة الأساسية في قطاع غزة
مع هذا الدمار الشامل في غزة، قامت الآلة العسكرية بتجريف المخيمات المركزية للاجئين في الضفة الغربية من شمالها إلى جنوبها. أما في القرى والمجتمعات الصغيرة والضعيفة، فيُمارس الإرهاب اليومي على يد مجموعات من المستوطنين، بدعم من الجنود، بهدف تهجير السكان الفلسطينيين من بيوتهم وأراضيهم
نحن في واحة السلام ندعو إلى وقف فوري للحرب، والإفراج الفوري عن جميع الأسرى، وانسحاب كامل للقوات من قطاع غزة، وبدء مفاوضات تؤدي إلى اتفاقية سلام شاملة تضمن الحق في الحياة، والسلام، والأمن، والعدالة لكلا الشعبين
